JBR Collection operates JBRCollection.com. This policy applies to the JBR Collection website and its public pages, including product information, project pages, and the JBR Collection Marketplace.
JBR Collection does not currently provide visitor accounts, process payments on this website, or ask visitors to connect their personal eBay accounts. Purchases shown through the Marketplace are completed on eBay.
Overview
This website is designed to explain JBR Collection projects, provide public information, and direct visitors to relevant destinations. We limit collection to information reasonably needed to operate, secure, understand, and improve the website or respond when someone contacts us.
This policy does not replace the privacy policies of third-party websites reached through external links. Once you leave JBRCollection.com, the destination’s own terms and privacy practices apply.
Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
If you use the JBR Collection contact form or email us directly, we receive the information you choose to provide. The contact form currently asks for your name, email address, reason for contacting us, subject, and message. Direct email may also include files you intentionally attach.
Basic technical and security information
Website infrastructure and security providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time, referring page, general region, and security or error events. This information is used to deliver the website, protect it from abuse, and diagnose reliability problems.
Public marketplace information
The Marketplace may display public information about JBR Collection’s own eBay listings, including listing title, price, condition, category, image, shipping summary, item URL, and listing status.
Local tools and Labs
Browser utilities
The Free tools directory includes 30 local utilities for text, text comparison, regular expressions, JSON, encoding, timestamps, QR codes, passwords, UUIDs, random numbers, firmware checksums and inspection, partition parsing, flash planning, 3D print and resin costs, filament remaining, dimensional scaling, image cropping and conversion, metadata removal, icons, colors, and eBay fee estimates. Firmware bytes, parser text, maker inputs, and generated results are processed locally in browser memory. JBR Collection does not upload them, include private file or text payloads in page URLs or application logs, or collect tool analytics. Inputs and results are not saved to browser storage except for the explicit Flash Planner handoff described below. The Regex Tester also offers an explicit pattern-only share action as described below.
Copy and Download act only when you choose them. They create copies in your clipboard or saved files that you control. Clear removes the utility’s current input or result, depending on the control; leaving the utility page releases its working data. These actions do not erase a copy you already saved or guarantee secure erasure from browser or device memory.
Regex pattern sharing
Only when you choose Share pattern in the Regex Tester, the tool creates a link containing the pattern and flags in its URL fragment. Test text and replacement text are excluded. A pattern may itself contain sensitive information: review it before copying or sharing the link. Anyone who receives the link can read its pattern. Regex matching and replacement run locally in a time-limited worker.
One-use Flash Planner handoff
Only when you choose the Flash Planner handoff, it writes filename, file size, address, chip family, and flash configuration metadata to sessionStorage for the same browser tab. It stores no firmware bytes or partition parser text. The ESP Flasher removes this record when it reads it, including invalid records; otherwise it remains subject to your browser’s session-storage lifetime. It is not saved as a history or to localStorage. You must reselect the firmware files, review the configuration, and connect the device yourself.
Labs and Effects Studio
The interactive studies in Labs and Effects Studio use browser controls and rendering. Study text, settings, pointer interactions, and performance readings are used locally. JBR Collection does not upload or persist those values, or send them as analytics. Performance readings shown in the studio are local diagnostics.
ESP Flasher and serial console
The ESP Flasher reads firmware files you select locally. It connects only after you choose Connect Device and select a device in the browser’s permission dialog. Firmware and serial commands travel directly between your browser and the selected device; JBR Collection does not receive a firmware upload. The current workbench uses local binary files and does not fetch a remote firmware manifest.
Serial output and session messages are held in browser memory without automatic log storage or upload. Clear removes the console history; Copy and Download let you keep an intentional copy. Disconnect ends the connection. Device permissions are controlled by your browser. This tool remains in beta, with physical hardware QA pending.
Local processing is separate from the technical information needed to deliver this website, information you send through Contact, and the public eBay listing integration described elsewhere in this policy. Visiting a tool page still requires normal website delivery.
How information is used
Information may be used to:

- Protect the website, visitors, and connected services from fraud, abuse, and technical threats.
- Respond to questions, support requests, or marketplace inquiries.
- Diagnose errors and understand whether pages and features work correctly.
- Display and refresh public JBR Collection marketplace inventory.
- Meet legal, regulatory, contractual, and platform-compliance obligations.
eBay marketplace integration
JBR Collection may use eBay developer tools and APIs to retrieve public listing information from JBR Collection’s own seller account and display selected inventory on this website.
JBRCollection.com does not ask visitors to sign in to eBay, does not receive visitor eBay passwords or OAuth tokens, and does not process eBay payments, orders, buyer messages, or buyer account details.
Authorization credentials used to access JBR Collection’s seller information are intended to remain in protected server-side systems and are not exposed in browser code. Public listing information may be temporarily cached so pages can load reliably without contacting eBay for every visit.
When you select an eBay listing, you leave JBRCollection.com and continue on eBay. eBay controls the transaction and its own privacy notice, user agreement, payment processing, cookies, and account practices apply.
Cookies and analytics
JBR Collection does not currently use visitor accounts or intentionally place advertising cookies through this website. Infrastructure providers may use essential cookies or similar technologies for security, traffic management, fraud prevention, or reliable delivery.
Analytics services may be introduced later to understand traffic and improve the website. Before materially changing how analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies are used, this policy will be updated and any legally required notices or choices will be provided.
Sharing and service providers
JBR Collection does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Limited information may be processed by providers that help operate the website, such as hosting, content delivery, DNS, security, email delivery, repository/deployment, and marketplace-integration providers. Current or planned providers include Cloudflare, GitHub, eBay, Resend, and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, enforce agreements, or complete a business reorganization or transfer.
Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain security and reliability, to resolve disputes, or to meet legal and contractual obligations.
Email correspondence may be retained while an inquiry remains relevant. Infrastructure logs are retained according to provider settings and operational needs. Public eBay listing cache entries are designed to be short-lived and refreshed or expired automatically.
Security
JBR Collection uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the website’s current scope. These include HTTPS, managed DNS and security controls, Cloudflare Turnstile abuse protection on the contact form, restricted access to development systems, server-side handling of sensitive credentials, and separation between test and production environments.
No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Visitors should avoid sending highly sensitive personal, financial, medical, or identity information by ordinary email.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. To ask a privacy question or make a request concerning information held directly by JBR Collection, email hello@jbrcollection.com.
Requests involving an eBay account or eBay transaction should be directed to eBay because JBR Collection does not control eBay’s account systems. Browser controls may also be used to manage cookies, local storage, and related technologies.
Children’s privacy
JBRCollection.com is not directed to children under 13, and JBR Collection does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so the situation can be reviewed.
International visitors
JBR Collection is operated from the United States. Website information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as JBR Collection adds forms, analytics, tools and utilities, accounts, licensing, marketplace features, or other services. The effective date at the top of this page will be changed when the policy is revised. Material changes will be presented in a reasonably noticeable manner.
