Strict input, useful errors.
This tool accepts RFC 8259 JSON syntax, including scalar values. Comments, trailing commas, single-quoted strings, and duplicate keys are rejected. Validation errors show a line and column. Nothing is repaired or executed.
Keep identifiers exact.
Integer values outside −9,007,199,254,740,991 to 9,007,199,254,740,991 are rejected, including exponent notation. Quote large IDs as strings. Other numbers use JavaScript’s floating-point precision: decimal notation may change, very small values can round to zero, and negative zero formats as zero. Values that overflow the finite number range are rejected.
Limits: 2,000,000 UTF-16 characters of input, 4,000,000 of output, and 100 nested arrays/objects. The output limit applies to Format and Minify, with or without sorting; oversized results are refused before output is created. If a worker is unavailable, direct processing is capped at 100,000 input characters. No hidden truncation, uploads, schema downloads, executable previews, or saved history. Clear or leave the page to discard your input and output.
