Five useful ways to connect.
A website code contains the address directly. Plain text preserves Unicode and line breaks. Wi-Fi encodes the network name, security, password, and optional hidden-network flag. Email uses a mailto: draft with an optional subject and body; SMS uses an international recipient and optional message. Recipient apps decide how to handle those templates, so check the result on the devices you intend to use.
Choose a format that fits.
PNG is convenient for screens and documents. SVG is vector artwork for resizing and print. Both exports use the same square modules and a clear margin of at least four modules on every side. Extra pixels center the symbol without smoothing or blurring. Small requested dimensions can be refused if the content needs more modules than the canvas can hold.
Keep it easy to scan.
Dark modules on a plain light background work best. Leave the quiet zone clear and test scanning at the final size. Higher error correction can recover more damaged codewords (the percentages are approximate), but it makes a denser symbol or reduces capacity; it does not make every logo overlay safe. A transparent code needs a suitable light surface behind it. Color contrast guidance is a useful check, not a guarantee that every camera will scan the final design.

Generation uses the locally bundled qr encoder by Paul Miller, version 0.7.0, under the MIT license. No content is sent over the network, stored in browser history, or logged. Clear or leave the page to discard the workspace. Use the download and copy controls only when you want to keep the output.
